Tests on Structures

Ensaios em Estruturas3

The Tests complement the visual inspections, providing qualitative and quantitative data of the structure. Some provide the information for analysis directly at the time of its execution in the field, while others depend on the collection of samples for tests in laboratories.

In concrete structures, in general, destructive techniques are used, such as core extraction, adhesion tests, electrochemical potential, endoscopy, and others that depend on the partial removal of coatings and parts of the reinforcement covering, or non-destructive techniques such as ultrasonic wave tests, sclerometry, pacometry, resistivity, etc. Among the tests carried out in the laboratory are the measurement of the content of chlorides and sulfates, alkali-aggregate reaction and carbonation depth.

Ultrasonography, penetrating liquid and magnetic particles are used in steel structures.

Recuperação Engenharia has a specialized team and its own equipment for carrying out field tests and works in partnership with renowned laboratories to analyze the collected samples.
